Math 7 (Periods 5, 6, 7)

Today in class, students continued working with writing fractions as decimals and decimals as fractions in order to compare and order various rational numbers.

Notes # 3 : 2 - 11 Comparing and Ordering Fractions and Decimals

Homework # 3 : Fraction & Decimal Packet

Pre - AP (Period 4)

Today students will continue working on adding integers in class. They will complete a number of activities which will help sharpen these skills.

Textbooks were also issued today. Students should be bringing these home until lockers are issued sometime next week.

Notes - none

Homework - Students need to finish CSCOPE 1 - 4 if it was not completed in class.

Math 7 (Periods 5, 6, 7)

Students worked with converting between fractions and decimals.

Notes # 2 : 2 - 10 Equivalent Fractions and Decimals

Homework # 2 : Worksheet 2 - 9 (2 - 26 even)
Students must show ALL work on a separate sheet of paper!!!
Students will be able to pick up this worksheet on Friday.

Pre - AP (Period 4)

Students covered adding integers with a number line and with a t - chart.


Notes # 2 - Adding Integers W/ a Number Line & a T - Chart

Homework # 2 : Worksheet 1 - 4 (all)
ALL work needs to be shown on another piece of paper. Students may choose to use which method to use for problems 3 - 18, however, work MUST be shown!!!

Students may pick up the worksheet Friday in class if they were absent.

Students will be able to pick up this worksheet on Thursday. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to post worksheets from class.

Students covered Integers and Absolute Value today in class.

Notes #1 : 1 - 3 Integers and Absolute Value

Homework # 1 : Worksheet 1 - 3 (all)
ALL work needs to be shown on another piece of paper.

Good afternoon!!!

Today all classes set up their math notebooks. Each student should have the following pieces in their notebooks:

1.) Assignment Log (A single piece of paper with 3 columns - assignment number, date, and assignment - to list daily homework assignments.)

Tomorrow we will begin working with the math curriculum. The classes have NO HOMEWORK tonight, but should expect to bring homework home tomorrow night.

Good morning!

Yesterday was a FANTASTIC start to the new school year. Each and every student who walked into the classroom was polite, respectful, and a pleasure to have in class! The following handout was given in class for students to take home to parents.
